My Story
My name is Francisca Hinojosa, and I am a Spanish tutor, English/ESL tutor, translator, interpreter, and a lover of the Spanish language and culture.
I am a native English speaker, but I have loved the Spanish language since I was a young child and spent a summer singing Spanish songs with my neighbor and her nanny. I loved understanding words my mother didn’t! Sure enough, I was learning Spanish in school, and there was no stopping me. Ultimately, I earned a master’s degree in Spanish (Second Language Acquisition).
Now it is my privilege to help others learn to speak and write a second language. It is especially exciting for me to work with accomplished professionals who struggled to learn a second language earlier in life―and see them achieve now what was previously out of reach. I can also provide translation of written personal and professional materials―from old family letters to course syllabi to employee manuals.
